Our Story ↓In 1962, Shri Ram Prakash Batra opened a modest sweet and namkeen shop near IIT Roorkee. What began as a small family dream — a corner store crafting sweets with pure desi ghee — would grow into Roorkee's most beloved brand.
Every sweet was made by hand, every customer served with warmth. Word spread quickly — the taste was unlike anything else.
In the 1990s, Shri Pradeep Batra took the reins and introduced modern technology — while keeping every traditional recipe intact.
New machinery improved consistency and scale, but the soul of Prakash remained the same: pure ingredients, handcrafted with care, and served with family warmth.

In 2019, Prakash inaugurated a fully automated manufacturing facility — one of the most advanced in the region. Today, we continue blending tradition with innovation across 150+ products.
